After a fresh cut on the new Sand Based Pitch and a return to games for most teams this weekend, we thought it was a good opportunity to update everyone on progress to date and provide a few reminders to members and visitors.
The contractor has removed most machinery from the clubhouse grounds and has completed substantial cleaning of the car park areas. You will notice the path has been reinstated from the club house / dressing room areas all the way to the 3G pitch. We would kindly ask everyone to use the paths where possible. A new concrete slab has been installed at the new equipment container. This was necessary to raise the level of the path to meet the door of the container. You will notice a new step into the main car park. Please mind your step when in the area.
We expect a high level of activity this weekend with the return of the club nursery and academy. Some parents and children may be attending for the first time so please be mindful of young children in and around the 3G pitch and car park area. There is a one way system in place in the 3G car park and parents are asked to be considerate of other members when parking. Academy coaches will be wearing club coaching tops and are on hand to assist you so please keep an eye out for them. There is also secure bicycle parking around the clubhouse so please feel free to walk or cycle.
The fencing around the new sand based pitch will remain in place until 2024. Please do not enter the pitch. However, the good news is that the new walking track is usable.
As always we remind people coming to the club to be mindful of the building work taking place. Safety of our members and visitors is of paramount importance to us, so if you notice something out of place or have any concerns, please inform a mentor or committee member.
