While the grass was only sown a few weeks ago, already we can see lots of green coverage over the new sand based pitch. The Irish weather conditions certainly help the speed at which the grass is growing! With juvenile games and academy returning over the next week or two, you will see the on-site contractor slowly removing all machinery and cleaning up around the clubhouse grounds. The compound in the 3G pitch car park will be handed back and the contractor containers will be removed from the main car park, which will free up some additonal parking spaces. The fencing will remain in place around the sand based pitch until the pitch is playable, expected sometime in summer 2024. However, the good news is that the new path / walking track will be usable so hopefully you get an opportunity to clock up some kms! The work to the front of the clubhouse to repair damaged old drains has also been complete. There is some work underway to raise the level of the path beside the new container at the changing rooms which will include a new step down into the car park. We will then see the new storage container painted.
